A man robbed the 311 Grocery on Walkertown Avenue late this morning, Winston-Salem Police said.
Police said that about 11:30, five men went into the store, made purchases and left. A little while later, one of the five returned carrying a handgun and demanding money, police said. The robber took cash and ran from the store toward Bowen Branch Park. The robber was described as a black man wearing a black hooded flight jacket with fur around the hood, a white T-shirt, blue jeans and white sneakers. Police said his age was estimated at 19 or 20.
