'Gay Liberation' author to read, sign books
Shannon Gilreath, a Wake Forest University law professor, will read from his most recent book, "The End of Straight Supremacy: Realizing Gay Liberation," at noon Tuesday in the Z. Smith Reynolds Library auditorium.
The book questions whether gay assimilation is a positive thing, challenging conservative and liberal politics in the process. A question-and-answer session will follow the reading. Copies of the book will be available for sale and signing.

Bradley, Nance to speak Saturday
Two authors and their works will be featured Saturday at Barnhill's Books-Wine-Art-Gifts, 811 Burke St.
Stanley L. Bradley will be reading from his newest novel, "Peter's Quest," from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., and Chad Nance will be presenting his political novel, "Hillbilly Highway," from 6 to 8 p.m. Both events are free to the public.

'Sinners and Saints' writers to appear
Authors Victoria Christopher Murray and ReShonda Tate Billingsley will sign copies of their new book, "Sinners and Saints," at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Carver School Road Branch Library, 4915 Lansing Drive.
"Sinners and Saints" tells the story of heroines Jasmine Larson Bush and Rachel Jackson Adams overcoming their scandalous and drama-filled pasts to firmly stand by their pastor husbands' sides.
Prior to the signing, the authors will meet with teens at 5 p.m. to discuss their young-adult series.
