Fashion takes on deeper meaning at SECCA event

Out of Fashion Artists will present "Language of Fashion" at 7 p.m. Thursday at Southeastern Center for Contemporary Art, 750 Marguerite Drive.

The talk will feature works by North Carolina artists and designers who use fashion to explore broader social, economical, political and environmental issues.

Steven Matijcio, the exhibition curator, will lead the discussion with exhibiting artists Mary Tuma, Gabrielle Duggan and Talena Sanders taking part. The lecture is free to the public.
