Wine Pick: FishEye Pinot Grigio

»  Comments | Post a Comment

FishEye Pinot Grigio

The 2011 FishEye Pinot Grigio (South Eastern Australia, $7 for 750 milliliters, $12 for 1.5 liters or $18 for 3 liters) offers surprisingly good wine at a very good price. It has peach and tropical aromas and flavor. There's a bit of sweetness, a touch of citrus, and some chalky minerality, too. It has a nice balance and a surprisingly long finish in a wine at this price. Serve at parties with hors d'oeuvres or by itself. Widely available.
