Parkway United Church of Christ, 2151 Silas Creek Parkway, will participate in the National Preach-In on Global Warming at 11 a.m. Sunday. Wake Forest Baptist Church, in Wait Chapel at Wake Forest University, will celebrate Black History Month with a performance of excerpts of Alvin Ailey's "Revelations" during the 11 a.m. worship service Sunday. The church will be host to a class on "Amendment One and implications for LGBT immigration" at 7 p.m. Wednesday in Wingate Hall, Room 202.

John Wesley AME Zion Church, 1800 N.E. 25th St., will celebrate its 134th anniversary at 3 p.m. Sunday. The speaker will be Pastor Warren Nance of St. John AME Zion Church in Thomasville. The Rev. Gloria Thomas is the host pastor.

St. Matthew Apostolic Temple Church of Jesus Christ, 3640 New Walkertown Road, will celebrate its 31st church and pastoral anniversaries beginning at 4 p.m. Sunday. The theme is "Still Standing Because of God." The celebration will continue with services at 7 p.m. Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday; and 3:30 p.m. Feb. 19. There will be speakers from area churches.

First Baptist Church, 7105 Broad St., Rural Hall, will have a Valentine Banquet at 6 p.m. Sunday. Chi Rho, a male a cappella group from Wake Forest University, will perform. Cost is $8 a person. To make a reservation, call (336) 969-5144.

Triad Baptist Church, 1175 S. Main St., Kernersville, will be host to a GriefShare program beginning at 7 p.m. Monday. Konnoak Hills Moravian Church, 3401 Konnoak Drive, will have a spaghetti dinner from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. today. Cost is $8 for adults and $4 for children ages 10 and younger. Takeout will be available.
