Dishes can help with healthy eating
If you want fun dinnerware that might help you eat right, check out Yum Yum Dishes.
These plates and bowls are available in bright yellow, green, red and blue. The dinner plates are just 9 inches in diameter — compared with about 12 inches for typical dinner plates — to foster portion control. The plates also are divided into sections for vegetables, proteins and carbs, with the vegetables section taking up half the plate to encourage healthy eating.
The bowls each hold just 4 ounces, and they come with plastic lids.
Inside each bowl and plate is a message that can be read once the food is eaten: "Yum Yum time is ... over."
The plates and bowls are safe for the dishwasher, microwave and oven.
They are sold at www.yumyumdishes.com for $24 for a set of four bowls or plates.
