Q: Is there anyway to stop getting phone books delivered to my home? I sometimes get four different books, and it's such a waste. I put them in the recycle bin. I've talked to my neighbors, and they don't want them either.
L.B.
A: For the AT&T phone book, you can call (866) 329-7118 to request the delivery of fewer or no directories. You can also go to att.com/mydirectories. People who do want the phone book can also call that number.
For the Local Edge/Talking Phone Book, call (800) 388-8255 and press 0, or you can write to Directory Publishers, Distribution Dept., 1945 Sheridan Drive, Buffalo NY 14223.
Q: Since "Friday Night Lights" is off the air, what are Taylor Kitsch, who played Tim Riggins, and Kyle Chandler, who played the coach, doing now? What is the rest of the cast up to?
C.G.
A: Taylor Kitsch is starring in "John Carter," a big-budget sci-fi movie that is due out next year. It's based on the "John Carter, Warlord of Mars" books by Edgar Rice Burroughs, the creator of Tarzan. He will also star in "Battleship," a movie based on the board game that is also due out in 2012.
Kyle Chandler is one of the stars of the sci-fi drama "Super 8," which is in theaters now. In an interview with the Digital Spy website, he said that now that his five-year run on "FNL" is over, he is being selective about roles.
As for the rest of the cast, there were too many cast members in the ensemble drama for us to list all of them here. But a few highlights:
- Minka Kelly (Lyla) is starring in a new version of "Charlie's Angels," which will air this fall on ABC.
- Adrianne Palicki (Tyra) is in the cast of a remake of "Red Dawn" due in theaters this year and a sequel to "G.I. Joe" out next year.
- Matt Lauria (Luke), an alumnus of the UNC School of the Arts, most recently guest starred on the July 21 episode of the USA Network series "Burn Notice."
- Connie Britton (Tami) will star in "American Horror Story," an FX series about a husband and wife who move into a haunted house. It will debut this October.
