"Abduction" (PG-13): Taylor Lautner of "Twilight" fame takes the lead role in this action film from director John Singleton. It's about a high-school student who discovers that the people who raised him aren't his real parents and that his true origin is tied to an international conspiracy. Then the chase scenes begin. Think of this movie as a brooding, surly kid brother to the "Bourne Identity" series. Extras include a production diary by Lautner, a gag reel and behind-the-scenes featurettes.
"Courageous" (PG-13): The creators of "Fireproof" present another faith-based drama, this one telling the story of a group of sheriff's deputies in small-town Georgia. They strive to uphold the law while maintaining their family lives and being true to their faith. Extras include commentary, featurettes, deleted scenes and bloopers.
"The Ides of March" (R): George Clooney (who also directed) and Ryan Gosling star in this political drama. Viewers looking for penetrating insight, rather than a well-crafted political potboiler, will come away disappointed. The cast also includes Philip Seymour Hoffman and Paul Giamatti.
"Bucky Larson: Born to be a Star" (R): A small-town guy decides to go into the family business — pornography — in this raunchy comedy starring stand-up comic Nick Swardson. Extras on the DVD and Blu-ray include several featurettes.
"Age of Heroes" (R): This film follows the true exploits of a World War II commando unit whose members included Ian Fleming, who later created James Bond. The cast includes Sean Bean, Danny Dyer and James D'Arcy as Fleming.
"Delocated: Seasons 1 and 2" (Unrated): This "Adult Swim" live-action comedy series follows an obnoxious, overbearing guy who has been put into the Witness Protection Program but can't help making a spectacle of himself. Extras include commentary, deleted scenes, and the original demo that was used to sell the series.
"America in Primetime" (Unrated): This PBS documentary series looks at character types that have become archetypes on TV, such as the crusading hero, the misfit and the independent woman. Creators, writers and actors including David Chase, Judd Apatow, Shonda Rhimes, Larry David and Alec Baldwin are interviewed.
"Traffic" on Blu-ray (R): Director Steven Soderbergh's sprawling 2000 drama about the drug trade — told from the perspective of the dealers, the users, politicians and law enforcement — comes to Blu-ray from the Criterion Collection. Among the cast members who turn in terrific performances here are Michael Douglas, Benicio Del Toro, Erika Christensen and Don Cheadle.
"The Tuskegee Airmen" on Blu-ray (Unrated): With a new theatrical film about black WWII pilots, "Red Tails," about to hit theaters, HBO releases this acclaimed 1995 drama in high definition. Laurence Fishburne, Andre Braugher and Cuba Gooding Jr. star as members of a group of black pilots during World War II who proved their mettle despite racism. The Blu-ray comes packaged in a companion booklet.
Also new this week: "Merlin: The Complete Third Season," with 13 episodes of the British fantasy adventure series about the early days of Merlin and Arthur; "Adam-12: The Sixth Season," the latest release from the classic TV series about beat cops; "Dirty Girl," an indie film about a small-town bad girl in 1987 Oklahoma who befriends a nerdy male classmate; "Division III: Football's Finest," a bawdy sports comedy starring Andy Dick as an overwrought college football coach; "Kevin Hart: Laugh at My Pain," a stand-up comedy concert film.
New catalog titles on Blu-ray: Two Robin Williams films from the 1980s, "Dead Poets Society" and "Good Morning, Vietnam," each with extensive behind-the-scenes material; "Thurgood," HBO's one-man play about Supreme Court Justice Thurgood Marshall, played here by Laurence Fishburne; and "The Josephine Baker Story," also from HBO, a 1991 biographical drama about the beautiful but troubled musician.
