Paisley IB Magnet PTSA will show the documentary "Race to Nowhere" at 7 p.m. Thursday at Parkland High School, 1600 Brewer Road.
"Race to Nowhere" looks at the problems in today's schools, including widespread cheating, stress-related illnesses and depression.
A discussion featuring Matt Hough, medical director of the Pediatric Behavioral Health Unit at Brenner Children's Hospital, and Jill A. Tackabery, a member of the board of education, will follow the screening.

Music will accompany 'Nosferatu' showing
The contemporary music group Forecast Music will present a performance of "Nosferatu — A Symphony of Horrors" alongside a screening of the silent film classic "Nosferatu" at 8 p.m. Saturday at The Community Arts Café, 411 W. Fourth St.
"Nosferatu" is a 1922 German horror film about the vampire Count Orlok. An original musical score by Eric Schwartz, a Forecast Music member, will be performed to accompany the silent film.

Fall in love with Herbie and 'The Love Bug'
The Surry Arts Council will screen "The Love Bug" at 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. Thursday at the Earle Theatre, 142 N. Main St., Mount Airy.
The G-rated film tells the story of a Volkswagen Beetle named Herbie with a mind of its own. The screening is free to the public, but registration is required.
