Danny McBride, David Gordon Green, Jody Hill and Ben Best have stayed busy in the entertainment business since graduating from UNCSA in the late 1990s. Here are some of their forthcoming projects beyond "Your Highness," together and separately:
•"The Sitter": Green is currently wrapping up work on this movie, a comedy with Jonah Hill as a college student who takes a babysitting gig that goes awry. Green describes this as a John Hughes-like film, "raunchy and R-rated but very '80s-inspired." The supporting cast includes Eddie Rouse, an actor from Winston-Salem who appeared in Green's UNCSA student films and "George Washington."
•"Kung Fu Panda 2": McBride is providing the voice of a bad guy in this animated sequel. "I'm the leader of the wolf pack," he said. "I play Gary Oldman's right-hand man."
•"30 Minutes or Less": In this action-comedy, McBride plays a criminal who kidnaps a pizza delivery guy (Jesse Eisenberg) and forces him to rob a bank.
•"Good Vibes": Green is creating this animated series, a comedy about surfers, for MTV. McBride provides one of the voices, and others in the cast will include Alan Tudyk and Tony Hale. It will likely debut this fall.
•"Eastbound and Down": McBride, Jody Hill and Best are currently writing scripts for the third season of this HBO comedy in which McBride plays a self-obsessed baseball player. It will be recorded this year in Wilmington and Myrtle Beach, S.C. Green may direct some episodes.
•"L.A.P.I.": Green and Hill are slated to produce (and Hill may direct) this action-comedy film, which is still in development. McBride would play a down-and-out detective.
