Fortunately, the seasoned Hollywood pro proved better at predicting this year's Oscar winners than the two hungry dogs did in last week's issue of Relish.
Of the six major categories in Sunday's Academy Awards (picture, director, leading and supporting actors and actresses), Relish columnist Dale Pollock of the UNC School of the Arts correctly predicted five of the winners. His only miss was a prediction that David Fincher ("The Social Network") would win for directing rather than Tom Hooper for "The King's Speech."
Relish dogs Al and Enzo, on the other hand, struck out with their predictions, which we limited to best picture because dogs don't have the biggest attention spans in the world. Enzo gets partial credit for his pick of "Toy Story 3" as best film, since it actually won the award for best animated film.
Then again, Pollock predicted that one, too.
