A recording of music conducted by John Mauceri has been named one of the 250 greatest recordings of all time by Gramophone magazine in its June issue.
Mauceri is the chancellor of UNC School of the Arts. In the recording, called Between Two Worlds (Decca), he conducts the Radio Symphony Orchestra of Berlin in music of Erich Wolfgang Korngold.
Other recordings that made Gramophone's Top 250 feature such superstar artists as Placido Domingo, Sir Simon Rattle, Leonard Bernstein, Sir Georg Solti and Alfred Brendel.
Gramophone is a widely read magazine that covers the world's classical-music scene.
