Music Briefs: Saxophone teacher to perform at UNCSA

Taimur Sullivan, who teaches saxophone at UNC School of the Arts, will perform at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday in Watson Hall on campus.

The program will feature several works for saxophone and piano (Allison Gagnon), including Paul Agricole Genin's Solo de Concours, Astor Piazzolla's Oblivion and Laura Hunter's transcription of Ross Lee Finney's A-Minor Sonata.

The rest of the program will include Barry Cockroft's Ku Ku for solo soprano saxophone and David Lang's Press Release for solo baritone saxophone.

Admission is $12, $10 for seniors and students. Visit www.uncsa.edu/performances or call 721-1945.
