Film Briefs: Documentary explores a famous pogrom, and resistance to Nazis

The Restless Conscience will be shown at Shirley Recital Hall, 601 S. Church St., on the Salem College campus. The documentary film by Hava Beller, commemorates the November 1938 pogrom, Kristallnacht, or Night of Broken Glass, against Jews living in Nazi Germany and documents anti-Nazi resistance within Germany, including numerous attempts on Adolf Hitler's life. A discussion will follow the screening.

Showtime is 7 p.m. Nov. 9, and is free and open to the public.
