Art Brief: Gallery to have opening reception for 'Beyond the Outer Banks' show

5ive & 40rty gallery will have an opening reception from 5:40 to 7:40 p.m. Thursday for the international-art show "Beyond the Outer Banks," which includes 12 artists from seven countries. The show is curated by Peggy O'Donnell and David Williams.

The show will open to the public on Friday and will be on display through July 18. The gallery is at 541-A Trade St.
