Woodstock: 3 Days of Peace & Music Director's Cut (Unrated): The 40th anniversary of the August 1969 concert is approaching. And now, a four-hour director's cut of the 1970 film -- a combination of documentary and concert film -- comes out on DVD and Blu-ray in a new, lavishly packaged "Ultimate Collector's Edition."
In addition to the film, the set has two hours of rare performance footage including such acts as Joan Baez, Santana, The Who, Jefferson Airplane, Canned Heat, Country Joe McDonald, and five acts -- including The Grateful Dead, Johnny Winter and Creedence Clearwater Revival -- who performed at Woodstock but whose footage has never appeared in any film version of the concert until now.
Other extras include bonus interviews and a documentary about the Museum at Bethel Woods. It's all packaged in a gift box with festival photos, a reprint of a Life magazine commemorative issue and an iron-on patch.
The three-disc set sells for $60 on DVD or $70 on Blu-ray. For more frugal fans, there's also a DVD of just the director's cut of the film plus the documentary about the Museum at Bethel Woods for $25.

Gran Torino (R): Clint Eastwood starred in and directed this new take on his "wise-cracking vigilante." He plays a Korean War vet who resents the influx of immigrants in his neighborhood and pretty much everything else in modern life. But he grows close to his neighbors and protects them when gang violence threatens them. The DVD and Blu-ray include bonus featurettes.
The International (R): Clive Owen plays an Interpol agent, and Naomi Watts plays an assistant DA, in this thriller. They uncover a conspiracy that involves a powerful bank. DVD and Blu-ray extras include commentary, deleted scenes and featurettes.
Crossing Over (R): This drama about immigration stars Harrison Ford as a gruff but good-hearted immigration agent. Ray Liotta and Ashley Judd also star.
Nobel Son (R): Alan Rickman plays an egomaniacal Nobel Prize winning chemist whose son is kidnapped in this comedy-thriller.
Gothkill (Unrated): This horror comedy tells the story of a group of goth kids who take on a bad guy who has made a literal deal with the devil. The cast includes performers from New York's avant garde music and fetish underworld.
Fired Up (PG-13 and Unrated versions): This bawdy comedy follows two jocks (allegedly high school students, but they look to be pushing 30) who head to cheerleader camp in hopes of scoring with beautiful girls. Wackiness ensues. Extras include commentary, deleted scenes, and featurettes including footage from a press junket.
Strike (Unrated): Another raunchy comedy, this one is about buddies trying to strike it rich in the world of professional bowling. The cast includes Tara Reid, Rachel Hunter, Vinnie Jones and Vincent Pastore from The Sopranos.
Reaper Season 2 (Unrated): Ray Wise also co-stars in this underappreciated action-comedy series, which was recently canceled by the CW Network. Wise plays the Devil, who has ensnared a young slacker (Bret Harrison) to be his bounty hunter, tracking down demons who have escaped from Hell.
The Shield: Season 7 (Unrated): The gritty crime drama about corrupt cops wraps up with a satisfying final season.
