The Word Is Out open-mike poetry reading will meet from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday at Forsyth County Central Library, 660 W. Fifth St. Admission is free.
Those interested in poetry and the spoken word can read their own or others' works, or just listen. The optional theme will be "Better With Friends."
Helen Losse will be the featured poet. She will read from her new book.
