■ Jett Travolta's body shows no sign of head trauma, and his death certificate says he was killed by a "seizure," an undertaker said yesterday, as his parents prepared for a Florida funeral. Glen Campbell, the assistant director of the Bahamian funeral home handling the remains of John Travolta's son, said that the body is in "great condition," despite police officials who had said that he hit his head on a bathtub. Authorities did not release the results of an autopsy performed yesterday, but Campbell saw the body and the death certificate, which was based on its findings. "The only cause of death that was listed was ‘seizure,'" he said. Late yesterday, a black hearse traveled from the funeral home to the airport after the family said it would bury Jett near their home in Ocala, Florida. Jett Travolta had a history of seizures and was found unconscious in a bathroom Friday at a family vacation home on Grand Bahama Island.
■ Rebecca Romijn and Jerry O'Connell are new parents -- times two. A publicist for Romijn, a star of Ugly Betty, said yesterday that twin daughters Dolly Rebecca Rose and Charlie Tamara Tulip were born Dec. 28. They are the couple's first children. Publicist Lewis Kay said that "mother, father and both girls are all home and doing well." Romijn, 36, and O'Connell, 34, were married in 2007. O'Connell starred in the TV series Crossing Jordan and Carpoolers. His screen credits include Stand by Me and Jerry Maguire.
■ First lady Laura Bush has sealed a deal worth millions with Scribner to publish a memoir that will encompass her recollections of personal and historical moments, including her eight years in the White House. Scribner, in announcing the agreement yesterday, said that the memoir is expected to be out in 2010. Sally McDonough, the first lady's press secretary, declined to say how much she is being paid for the book, but past deals for first ladies have had multimillion-dollar payouts.
■ Sylvester Stallone may have his man. Forest Whitaker is negotiating to join the cast of the action film The Expendables, Stallone's latest writing and directing effort. Whitaker would play the CIA liaison for a group of mercenaries (played by Stallone, Jet Li, Randy Couture and Jason Statham) who are sent to South America to overthrow a dictator. Stallone, who expressed his intention to recruit Whitaker in November, has been scouting locations to start filming in February. Whitaker won an Oscar for The Last King of Scotland and will appear next in Hurricane Season and Repossession Mambo.

■ Griffin B. Bell, 90, of kidney failure, at Piedmont Hospital in Atlanta. He was a shrewd Southern lawyer who grew up with Jimmy Carter and later became U.S. attorney general after Carter was elected president.
