Adventureland (R): The director of Superbad, Greg Mottola, follows that hit up with this comedy set in the 1980s. Like Superbad, it's a blend of belly laughs and heartfelt character moments. Jesse Eisenberg stars as a geeky college student who has to take a summer job at a lousy amusement park. But things start looking up when he meets a beautiful co-worker (Kristen Stewart). Bill Hader, who worked with Mottola on Superbad, and Martin Starr, who worked with him on the TV series Freaks and Geeks, turn in scene-stealing supporting roles. The DVD has deleted scenes, commentary and a featurette; the Blu-ray adds faux Adventureland commercials and training videos, bonus featurettes focused on some of the characters, and a digital copy of the film.

Duplicity (PG-13): Julia Roberts and Clive Owen star in this likable but underwhelming film about corporate spies engaged in an elaborate game of cat-and-mouse. The supporting cast includes Tom Wilkinson and Paul Giamatti.

Sunshine Cleaning (R): Two sisters (played by Amy Adams and Emily Blunt) run a cleaning service that specializes in cleaning up crime scenes in this wistful comedy-drama from the producers of Little Miss Sunshine. Alan Arkin co-stars as their cranky dad.

Fighting (R and Unrated): Channing Tatum, who is currently making the world safe for democracy in G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra, plays an ambitious young fighter in this gritty drama set in the world of bare-knuckle boxing. Terrence Howard and Luis Guzman co-star. The DVD and Blu-ray have both the theatrical cut and an extended, unrated version of the film.

Goodbye Solo (R): Ramin Bahrani returned to his native Winston-Salem for this, his third feature film, which played here at the RiverRun International Film Festival. It's the heartfelt story of an amiable taxi driver and a world-weary passenger who has an unusual request. The DVD includes commentary by Bahrani.

The Garden (Unrated): Another RiverRun film, this one is a documentary about the struggles to save a 14-acre urban farm in south-central Los Angeles. The DVD includes commentary with the filmmakers and one of the farmer/activists; extended scenes; and bonus interviews.

American Son (R): Nick Cannon stars in this drama about a 19-year-old soldier who has four days to make peace with his family and friends before he is shipped off to Iraq. Extras include commentary and deleted scenes.

How Bruce Lee Changed the World (Unrated): This documentary uses rare interviews, home movies and more to examine the life story of Lee and how he helped popularize martial-arts movies around the world.

Art of War (Unrated): Sun Tzu, a Chinese military strategist whose tactics are still being discussed 2,400 years after his death, is the focus of this History Channel documentary.

thirtysomething: The Complete First Season (Unrated): Many people thought this acclaimed 1980s drama about a group of baby boomers would never make it to home video, since it used so much great music that would be hard to clear. But here it is, in all its angst-ridden glory, with the original music intact. Extras include commentaries, interviews and featurettes.

House: Season Five (Unrated): Hugh Laurie returns as the cantankerous Dr. House in more episodes of Fox's hit medical drama. In season five, the show's producers took the show in unusual new directions, some successful and some not.

Life: Season Two (Unrated): NBC's crime drama tells the story of an existential police detective rebuilding his life after serving time in prison for a crime he didn't commit. But NBC hasn't picked it up for a third year.
