Q. We are having septic-system problems. A while back we were annexed by Winston-Salem. Can you find out whether we will get city sewer service any time soon on Woodcove Drive? -- C.W.
A. Water and sewer service are not automatically installed after an area is annexed, said Ron Hargrove, the deputy director of the city's utilities division. However, as a property owner in the city, you can petition for service.
For an explanation of the petition process, call Nick Seeba in the utilities-administration office at 747-7306.
