Corben Bone and Zack Schilawski each had a goal and an assist to lead the Wake Forest men's soccer team to a 3-0 win over UNC Greensboro last night at UNCG Soccer Stadium.

Wake Forest improved to 7-2-1, while UNCG fell to 3-5-3.

The Deacons, for the second game in a row, grabbed an early lead as Schilawski made the score 1-0 in the eighth minute. The Deacons doubled the lead in the 32nd minute on a goal from Austin da Luz. Bone finished the scoring with a goal in the 82nd minute to make the score 3-0.

Schilawski, after scoring seven points against Virginia Tech last Friday, continued his hot play against the Spartans last night, scoring his fifth goal of the season and adding his third assist. The goal was the 31st of his career, putting him alone in sixth place in school history.

Bone also added a goal and assist for the Deacons. Bone got his second goal of the year in the second half and had the game-winning assist on Schilawski's goal in the first half. Bone's assist was the 29th of his career, putting him one behind the school record, which is held by da Luz.

Da Luz scored his second goal of the season in the second half, while Nick Courtney got his second assist of the season.

Senior keeper Akira Fitzgerald was perfect for the Deacons. He made two diving saves in the first half to keep UNCG off the scoreboard. He played the first 89 minutes of the game, making four saves, while Austin Chelko made his first appearance of the season, playing the final minute and not facing a shot.

Wake Forest's next game is scheduled for Friday, when it will play host to conference leader and second-ranked North Carolina. The starting time at Spry Stadium is scheduled for 7 p.m.
