■ Open House: Faith Seeds Community Re-entry Coalition will have an open house beginning at 1 p.m. at 2290 Premier Park Lane. Faith Seeds serves as a clearinghouse for ex-offenders to gain training in handling their finances, preparing for interviews and furthering their education.

Will Of The People: A meeting of the members and friends of the nonpartisan political action committee will be at 7:30 p.m. at the Whitcomb Center, Rockingham Community College in Wentworth.

■ Leaders Conference: Word of Truth International Life Center will hold a leaders conference from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at 3806 Community Road. The conference will end on Saturday. Lunch and van services will be provided each day. For more information, call Doris Miller at 602-2593 or 971-3668.

■ Open House: Deaf and Hard of Hearing Advocacy Center will hold an open house from 2 to 5 p.m. at 3650 Patterson Ave., Suite C. DHHAC is a nonprofit program that serves individuals who are deaf, deaf-blind and hard of hearing. For more information, call Leslie Briggs at 767-7060.

■ Sleep-Out for the Homeless: The Delta Alpha chapter of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity at Winston-Salem State University will conduct its 13th annual overnight sleep-out for the homeless beginning at 6 p.m. near the Greek plots at Winston-Salem State. ■ Yard Sale: A scrapbooking, rubber- stamping and card-making yard sale will be held from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Old Rock School, 400 W. Main St., in Valdese. For more information, call 828-879-2129.

Cowgirls with a Cause Rodeo: The 5th annual Cowgirls with a Cause Rodeo will begin at 9 a.m. at the H&H Arena, 311 Ned Herman Road, Taylorsville. Registration begins at 8 a.m., and there is a $50 entry fee for participants. Spectators are welcome, and admission is free. For more information, visit www.cowgirlswithacause.org. The rodeo benefits treatments and mammograms for uninsured and underinsured women.

■ Memorial Concert: The Adult Choir of Union Cross Moravian Church will perform at 7 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall at Friedland Moravian Church, 2750 Friedland Church Road. Donations for the family of Deputy Chad Eric Greene will be accepted.
