Salem Chapel Christian Church, 7745 Salem Chapel Road, Walnut Cove, will have a chicken stew and bake shop from 4 to 7 p.m. today. A meal of chicken stew, a drink and dessert will be $6; hot dogs available for $1.50, and drinks and desserts for 50 cents. Take-out stew $5 a quart. Proceeds will be used for church projects.
