North Davidson 31, Davie County 30: Bryce Williams caught a 3-yard touchdown pass with 2:16 left and kicker Shawn Williams added a 2-point conversion run to cap North Davidson's comeback win over Davie County in a Central Piedmont 4-A game last night.
Both Williamses had a big hand in the Black Knights' win. Bryce Williams caught seven passes for 130 yards and two touchdowns, and Shaun Williams had a 27-yard field goal and two extra-point kicks. Quarterback Brennen Dodd also had a big night for North Davidson, completing 14 of 23 passes for 213 yards and three touchdowns, and rushing 25 times for 98 yards.
North Davidson had to overcome a fine performance by Davie quarterback Jacob Barber, who passed for two touchdowns and ran for another. Barber completed six of 12 passes for 113 yards and carried 16 times for 64 yards.
Alex Newman had a 79-yard touchdown run on a fake-punt play for the War Eagles, and Woody Parrish kicked a 34-yard field goal.

Bishop McGuinness 10, North Stokes 0: Josh Rathburn ran for a touchdown, Kevin Saxon added a field goal, and Bishop McGuinness shut out North Stokes in Kernersville last night to clinch third place in the Northwest 2-A/1-A.
Saxon made a 28-yard field goal in the second quarter for the only scoring in the first half. Rathburn, who finished with 71 yards on 25 carries, scored on a 1-yard plunge in the third quarter to give Bishop McGuinness some breathing room
Raleigh Sadler sparked the Villains' defense with 7 tackles, 2 assists, 2 sacks and 3½ tackles for loss.

Starmount 30, East Surry 6: Mount Airy beat East Surry last night in Pilot Mountain for its 26th straight win and locked up the Northwest 2-A/1-A title.
Justin Collier caught six passes for 176 yards and three touchdowns for the Bears.
Mount Airy, which forced five East Surry punts in the first half, took a 3-0 lead on Tyler Hull's 21-yard field goal early in the second quarter, and pushed the margin to 10-0 later in the quarter when Collier's 29-yard reception from Ben Hinson set up Luke Wheeler's 1-yard touchdown run.
But the killer blow for East came on Mount Airy's last possession of the half. Mount Airy faced a second and 25 from its 45 when Wheeler took a direct snap, but instead of running, hit Collier on a perfectly thrown pass over the middle that went 55 yards for a touchdown, leading to a 17-0 lead.
East got on the board in the fourth quarter when Logan Hoosier hit Andrew Hunter on a 41-yard touchdown pass.

Starmount 41, Wilkes Central 17: Starmount knocked off Wilkes Central last night in Boonville to finish 8-0 in the Mountain-Valley 2-A/1-A. The Rams repeated as conference champions.
M.J. Bryant had seven rushes for 147 yards and a touchdown to lead Starmount. Bryant also blocked a punt and returned it for a 5-yard touchdown in the second quarter. Israel Murphy added nine carries for 85 yards and a touchdown for the Rams, and Jake Barr threw a touchdown pass to Fondae McDaniels. Blaine Nicholson chipped in a 1-yard touchdown run and Bobby Gray added a 2-yard touchdown run for Starmount.
Austin McConnell ran for one touchdown and threw for another for Wilkes Central. The Blackhawks also got a 32-yard field goal from Devin William.

Elkin 59, Forbush 8: Ethan Creed had a hand in four touchdowns to lead Elkin past visiting Forbush last night in a Mountain-Valley 2-A/1-A game.
Creed completed six of nine passes for 166 yards and two touchdowns, and added 84 yards and two touchdowns rushing.
Grayson Kimery scored the first two touchdowns for Elkin, both on 3-yard runs. Tre Hayes, who had four carries for 104 yards, scored on a 71-yard run for the Elks. Creed had touchdown passes to Cody Brown (32 yards) and Cass Wilkens (55 yards).

Surry Central 55, South Stokes 0: Dave Wilmoth rushed for four touchdowns and passed for two more to help Surry Central beat South Stokes last night in a Northwest 2-A/1-A game in Dobson.
Wilmoth completed six of eight passes for 157 yards and carried 15 times for 191 yards. Casey Felts added a 13-yard touchdown run for the Eagles. Wilmoth's brother, Alex, scored on a 26-yard run and a 12-yard pass reception. Dave Wilmoth's other touchdown pass went to Shane Johnson for 55-yards.
