Session to advise textile sector about marketing to military

GREENSBORO -- The N.C. Department of Commerce will hold a conference from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday in Greensboro that will focus on textile-sector opportunities and developments in military and performance-related markets.
Speakers from the private sector, academia and government will discuss research, trends, U.S. military-purchasing guidelines, foreign-military markets, marketing strategy and other topics.
The conference is being organized by Jim Leonard and Jorman Fields of International Market Solutions, a textile-related consulting company in Greensboro.
The conference will be in the Sheraton Greensboro Hotel at Four Seasons. The $50 registration fee is payable at the door by cash or check.
