Spartans favored again in Garber

Mount Tabor, the winner of the last two Mary Garber Holiday Classic basketball tournaments, is expected to have a shot at three straight after being picked as the No. 1 seed by the other Forsyth County coaches.
Mount Tabor defeated Glenn in each of the last two finals, including 53-44 last season when the title game was at Atkins.
The Garber Classic, featuring 12 Forsyth County teams and this year's invited team, Starmount, will start Nov. 17 with a play-in game between No. 13 Atkins and No. 12 North Forsyth. The championship game will be Nov. 24, and all games will be at Carver and Atkins.
The top four seeds have byes into the quarterfinals, which will be Nov. 21 at Atkins. Reynolds is seeded No. 2, Carver is No. 3, and Starmount is No. 4. Mount Tabor will play the last of the quarterfinals, meeting the Reagan-Forsyth Country Day winner.
