Wine of the Week: Columbia Crest's 2006 Two Vines Vineyard 10 White Wine

Published: November 4, 2009

Columbia Crest's 2006 Two Vines Vineyard 10 White Wine (Washington, $9) is a delectable, fruit-forward blend of chardonnay, sauvignon blanc and semillon. The chardonnay's vanilla overtones are present, but they are gentled by the pronounced apricot, pear and apple of the sauv blanc and just the right sugar edge from the semillon, which lends this mostly dry blend a certain mellowness. Its structure and nuanced balance of flavors are quite sophisticated, making it a bargain at this price. Serve with Thai food.
