Council appoints new member to baseball stadium oversight committee

The Winston-Salem City Council Monday night approved a new member for the Citizens Baseball Stadium Review Committee, which was created by the council this summer to provide citizen oversight of city spending on the new downtown baseball stadium.
The new member, Jessica Harris Telligman, 30, is a lawyer in private practice.
She will replace Howard Hudson Jr., an original committee member who resigned in September.
In his resignation letter, Hudson said the he resigned in part because the committee's first report to city-council committees was "largely channeled by city staff" and "fell short of expressing many of the serious concerns discussed by the committee."
