Quarterback Riley Skinner of Wake Forest is showing no symptoms of the concussion he suffered in Saturday's loss to Miami, but he will not practice until Wednesday — at the earliest.
Skinner, a four-year starter who holds many of the passing records at Wake Forest, was knocked out of the game with 6:22 remaining. A CT scan later revealed that he had a mild concussion.
Coach Jim Grobe said after the 28-27 loss that Skinner will not return until cleared by the Wake Forest medical staff.
Don Steelman, the head football trainer, said that Skinner would not practice Monday and would not dress in pads Tuesday but did say that Skinner might throw some passes on the side.
Even if Skinner does return in pads for Wednesday's practice, he will not participate in any contact drills this week.
He remains questionable for Saturday's game at No. 10 Georgia Tech, which will start at 3:30 and be televised by ABC/ESPN2.
