DUBLIN, N.H. -- Beaches, mansions, hikes and pizza -- these are a few of Yankee magazine's favorite things about New England for summer travel.

The magazine's May/June issue is a travel guide to the region listing hundreds of attractions, places to stay and events.

Yankee's best-of lists are state-by-state.

Among the places to see and things to do mentioned in the magazine are the beach and lagoon at Reid State Park in Georgetown, Maine; the elegant 19th century Lockwood-Mathews Mansion in Norwalk, Conn.; snorkeling off of Block Island, Rhode Island and New Haven, Conn.'s famous pizza places, Pepe's and Sally's.
