WAYNESVILLE
A truck wreck near the North Carolina-Tennessee state line has closed Interstate 40 in both directions. Officials say unspecified hazardous materials are involved.
The Department of Transportation said the mountain highway is expected to reopen sometime during the morning Wednesday. A tractor trailer wreck at the 4-mile marker resulted in the road being shut down for about 20 miles east of the Tennessee border.
Officials say drivers can get around the wreck by using Interstate 26 and I-81.
Other details weren't immediately available.
