Arrest made in death of Mount Airy woman

RICHMOND, Va. - An arrest has been made in the case of a Mount Airy woman whose body was found floating in a pond near Belews Lake last Tuesday.
Joshua Allen Bolen, 25, of Walnut Cove has been charged with murder in the death of Ashley Denise Ward, 24, Forsyth County Sheriff's officials said last night in a news release.
Bolen was arrested early yesterday morning in Richmond, Va. where he was still being held last night awaiting extradition.
Bolen was Ward's boyfriend and the father of her child.
Information about how Ward died has not yet been released.
The investigation is continuing.
