■ NARFE Meeting: The Winston-Salem chapter of the National Active and Retired Federal Employees Association will meet at 11:30 a.m. at the Hanes Mall Golden Corral. State Rep. Dale Folwell will be the guest speaker. For more information, call 721-1783.
■ Charity Softball: Nuday Case Management will have a softball tournament from 6 to 9 p.m. June 5 and 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. June 6 at Washington Park softball field No. 2. It will raise money for The Adaptables Inc. Center for Independent Living.
■ Martial Arts Fundraiser: Karate International of Kernersville will hold a Martial Arts for St. Jude event starting at 9:30 a.m. in Harmon Park, Kernersville. It will raise money for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. There will be martial-arts demonstrations at 9:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m., women's self-defense seminars at 10 a.m. and 2 p.m., and a children's performance at 11:15 a.m. Anyone may participate for a donation. ■ The annual Watts Reunion will be held at 1 p.m. Sunday at the King American Legion. The Squire Watts family will be the hosts. Bring a covered dish.
■ The Fulp Family Reunion, for descendants of James Russell and John Walker Fulp, will begin at 11 a.m. June 13 at Stokesdale Christian Church, 8605 Stokesdale St., Stokesdale. ■ Book Collection: During June, University Parkway Animal Hospital, at 7781 North Point Blvd., will collect new and gently used books for Rural Hall/Stanleyville branch of the Forsyth County Public Library. Clients with donations will receive $5 off their visit for the week of June 16-20. For more information, call 377-9124.
■ AniMeals Donations: AniMeals, a program of the Forsyth County Department of Animal Control, needs donations to meet the growing need for its services. AniMeals provides food for the dogs and cats of low-income, elderly or disabled pet owners in the county to help keep people and their pets together. It now serves about 50 families, with many applicants waiting for assistance. Bins to collect donations of bagged or canned food are at the Forsyth County Animal Control, Oreck and Pet Supplies Plus.
