CARY -- The Pantry Inc. said yesterday that it has named Terrance Marks as its president and chief executive, effective Sept. 25.

Marks previously served as the executive vice president of Coca-Cola Enterprises Inc. and the president of the company's North American Group.

Marks will succeed Peter Sodini, who is retiring from the company and its board of directors.
