DOBSON — Gov. Bev Perdue will visit the Surry Early College High School of Design at Surry Community College at 11 a.m. Tuesday, college officials said Monday.
The Surry Early College opened in the fall of 2006. The N.C. Department of Public Instruction recognized it as a school of distinction in 2008.
The early college, which has 304 students, offers courses in graphic and fine arts, information technologies and biotechnology.
Students can earn a high-school diploma, an associate's degree or up to 24 hours of college credit. Tuition is free.
