Boone - Appalachian State University will conduct a test of its new campus siren warning system at 11:55 a.m. Wednesday. The test will consist of an air horn tone, followed by a recorded message.
ASU will continue to regularly test the campus sire warning system.
Other than tests, the sire warning system will only be activated during a high-risk, life-threatening emergency such as a shooter on or near campus, a tornado warning or a major hazardous material spill.
