NFL Notebook: Falcons get Gonzalez in trade

Falcons: Atlanta obtained tight end Tony Gonzalez from the Kansas City Chiefs yesterday for a second-round draft pick in 2010. Gonzalez is the only tight end in NFL history selected to 10 Pro Bowls.

Gonzalez caught 96 passes for 1,058 yards and 10 touchdowns last season. He holds owns NFL career records for tight ends with 916 receptions, 10,940 yards receiving, 76 touchdowns receiving and 26 100-yard receiving games. A sourced told The Associated Press that the Falcons have reached agreement with Gonzalez, but official details have not been announced.

Cowboys: Dallas has signed its final three free agents: receiver Miles Austin, running back Alonzo Coleman and tight end Rodney Hannah.

The signings yesterday meant that Austin, a restricted free agent, would return to Dallas after being courted by the New York Jets. The Jets never made an offer.

Austin signed with the Cowboys as an free agent in 2006 and had a 93-yard kickoff return for a touchdown as a rookie. He was expected to play a bigger role last year, but injuries limited him to 13 catches for 278 yards and three touchdowns.

Colts: Pro Bowl receiver Reggie Wayne has agreed to a restructured contract, which will give Indianapolis more room under this year's salary cap. Wayne's agent confirmed that the deal was completed but did not provide details about how much Indianapolis would save.
