SENIOR GAMES: The 2009 Thomasville, Davidson County and Lexington Senior Games will be held through-May 8, in Lexington and Thomasville. The competition is a ten-day sports and arts festival exclusively for men and women ages 55 and older, and will feature 40 events in 18 different sports and eight creative/literary and performance art competitions. Athletes will compete in eight age divisions for men and women: 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79, 80-84, 85-89, 90-94, 95-99 and 100 and older.
The charge is $8 and $6 for returning participants.
Entry information and applications are available at the Davidson County, Lexington and Thomasville Recreation Departments and Davidson County Senior Centers in Thomasville and Lexington.
