Michael Anthony Setzer, 32, of Conover and Kristy Lynn Hammonds, 31, of Taylorsville spent Friday morning in court. Judge Gary Dellinger declared the $7,500 bond for each suspect appropriate and left it in place.

Dellinger said the two could face jail time due to the nature of the offense and assigned attorneys to the pair.

A probable cause hearing has been set for May 8.
