The Piedmont Triad Singles will hold its Spring Fling Dance/Party from 8 p.m. to midnight Friday at George Ks, 2108 Cedar Fork Drive (corner of High Point and Holden roads). A deejay will play '70s and '80s hits, beach and swing music and Top 40 hits. There will be a cash bar and door prizes, and attendees are invited to "dress to impress. " Admission is $12. OUT at the Movies will screen two films on Saturday (April 18) in the ACE Theatre Complex on the campus of UNCSA, 1533 S. Main S.

Training Rules (running time: 56 minutes) will be screened at 7 p.m. for the second time; the world premiere was April 4 in Philadelphia. It shows how women's collegiate sports, caught in a web of homophobic practices, colludes in the destruction


of the lives and dreams of many of its most talented athletes. It takes to task colleges and universities who still discriminate against their athletes and coaches.

The comedy Ready? OK! (running time: 91 minutes) will be shown at 8:15 p.m. A single mom, played by Carrie Preston, struggles to understand her young son's obsession with dresses, dolls and girls' cheerleading. With the recent death of her absent father, her wayward twin brother returns home, compelling them to all face themselves and what it truly means to be a "family."
