Mack Trucks gets contract from Army worth $28.5M

LEHIGH VALLEY, Pa. - Mack Trucks Inc. said yesterday that the U.S. Army TACOM Life Cycle Management Command has awarded it a nearly $28.5 million contract for heavy-duty tractors and trailers.

Under the terms of the award, Mack will, over the next three years, deliver 152 MACK Vision Elite model tractors known as the Mack Pinnacle Axle Back model.

Mack Trucks is a member of the Volvo Group. It plans to move its headquarters and some support functions from Allentown, Pa., to Greensboro next year, joining its sister company, Volvo Trucks North America.
