■ The Broyhill Office Suites and Conference Center, a new meeting and conference center in Clemmons, has retained Margaret Adkins LLC as its director of marketing and sales. Adkins will be responsible for overseeing all marketing activities and driving sales for the conference center. She has years of experience in sales, marketing and membership development and has done successful programs for national clubs and resorts including ClubCorp Inc.
■ Alexander "Xan" Tisdale has joined the Greensboro office of Brown Investment Properties Inc. as a commercial-real-estate broker specializing in industrial properties. Before joining Brown Investment, he was an industrial and residential broker for a residential company. He also has nine years of experience in the field of material-handling equipment. Russell B. Parmele Jr. has been hired as a vice president of business development for Brown Investment. He will be responsible for marketing the company's property-management services. He has more than 20 years of experience managing commercial real estate, including the last 12 in the Triad.
■ Quality Oil Co. has made these promotions: David Bohanon has been named a vice president of finance. He joined the company in 2006 and most recently served as its controller. Carol Holt has been named the senior vice president of information technology. She was the vice president of information technology and has been with the company for 24 years. Tracy Harmon has been named the senior vice president of human resources. She was the vice president of human resources and has been with Quality Oil for 21 years. Rob Hill has been named the senior vice president of hotels. He joined the company in 2000 and most recently was the vice president of hotels. Nicole Spillman has been named the recruiting and training manager. She joined the company in 2006 and most recently was the staffing specialist.
■ Primo Water Corp. has promoted Michael Kreitz to director of operations/East. He joined Primo Water in 1995 as a systems administrator and moved into the operations department as FIT manager. Dianne Pitts has been hired in Primo's accounting department. She had worked for PF Plumbing Contractors Inc., where she was a controller and vice president of finance. Also, Anika Pettigrew has been hired in the company's accounting department. She was a sales and cost- inventory analyst for Amarr Garage Doors.
■ Novant Health has named the following people to new positions within the organization: Carl Armato has been promoted to president of systems and community services for Novant Health. He was the president of Novant's Southern Piedmont region. Greg Beier has been promoted to president of acute-care services for Novant Health. He was the president of Novant's Triad region. Dr. Bob Eberle was named co-president of Novant Medical Group Forsyth. Jacque Gattis has been promoted from executive vice president to chief administrative officer for Novant Health. Michelle Grier was named senior vice president and chief operating officer for Novant Medical Group. She most recently was a vice president of Novant Medical Group Forsyth. Fred Hargett was promoted to executive vice president of finance for Novant Health. He most recently was a senior vice president of financial planning. Dr. John Phipps was promoted to chief medical operations officer for Novant Medical Group. He was the co-president of Novant Medical Group. Janet Smith-Hill has been promoted to senior vice president of human resources for Novant Health. She was a vice president of human resources for Presbyterian Healthcare. Dean Swindle was named president of ambulatory services and chief financial officer for Novant Health. He was a vice president of financial services. Dr. Stephen Wallenhaupt was named chief medical officer for Novant Health. He was the executive vice president for medical affairs at Presbyterian Healthcare from 2001-06. Dr. Hayes Woollen was named president of physician services for Novant Health. He has worked as the co-president of the Presbyterian Medical Group and was chairman of PMG from 2000 to 2006.
■ Davenport, Marvin, Joyce & Co. LLP, certified public accountants and consultants, said that DMJ Wealth Advisors LLC has hired Melissa Robinson as a client-services coordinator. She is originally from Boonville, N.Y., and is a graduate of Mohawk Valley Community College in Utica, N.Y. Blair Goodman as joined DMJ Wealth Advisors as a financial adviser. He has more than 20 years of professional experience in estate planning, transition/succession planning, wealth management, financial planning and corporate-benefit design.
