The Piedmont Authority for Regional Transportation will begin offering express service in Stokes County and Rural Hall on Monday.
The temporary location for the park-and-ride lot in Stokes County will be at Calvary Baptist Church, 536 S. Main St. The bus will make several stops in Forsyth County, including Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center and Hanes Mall before ending at the Veterans Administration in Kimel Park.
The first bus will begin at 5:30 a.m.
A PART representative will be at the lot on the first day to answer questions.
The express route serving Rural Hall will include stops at the Rural Hall Town Hall, Northridge Business Park and the Food Lion on N.C. 65. The terminus points for the service will be the Winston-Salem Transportation Center and Forsyth Medical Center.
There will be two morning routes and three routes after noon.
For both express routes, the fare will be $2 for one-way or $50 for a monthly pass. The monthly pass will cost $60 beginning Jan. 1.
