SALISBURY - A man whose father starred in "Rosemary's Baby" and whose mother stared down Donald Trump wants to demolish his family's historic home in Salisbury.
Jonathan Blackmer of Alexandria, Va., wants to demolish and remove the house where Sydney and Suzanne Blackmer once lived.
The Blackmers bought the house in 1933, and original portions date to 1821. Sidney Blackmer died in 1974, and his wife died in 2004. In 1984, a fire seriously damaged much of the home.
Sidney Blackmer starred in "Rosemary's Baby" and won a Tony for his role in "Come Back, Little Sheba" in 1950. Suzanne Blackmer appeared in Three Stooges movies and is remembered for holding Trump at bay when he wanted her to abandon her Manhattan apartment.
