Man charged with cutting wife's arm with machete

LEXINGTON - A man has been charged with using a machete to cut his wife's arm, the Davidson County Sheriff's Office said today.
Joseph Kim Tucker, 44, of 213 Roy Hartley Road in Lexington, was charged with assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury, assault inflicting serious injury and assault on a female.
Tucker's wife told sheriff's deputies Saturday that during an argument earlier that day, Tucker had used a machete to cut her left arm, resulting in a cut that needed eight stitches, the sheriff's office said.
In addition to the cut, her right wrist was broken and she had several bruises on the face.
She was treated at Lexington Memorial Hospital.
Authorities did not release her name and calls to the sheriff's office were not immediately returned.
Tucker is in the Davidson County Jail with no bond.
