No. 24 Davidson 78, Loyola, Md. 48: No points for Stephen Curry, no problem for Davidson.
In a bizarre game that saw Curry, the nation's leading scorer, go scoreless and attempt only three shots because of constant double teams, the Wildcats still overwhelmed visiting Loyola (Md.) last night in the consolation round of the NIT Season Tip-Off.
Curry came in averaging 35 points a game, but got into early foul trouble and then seemed more than happy to defer to his teammates. With Coach Jimmy Patsos deciding to drape Curry with two defenders nearly the entire game, Curry often stood in the corner and let his teammate dominate in a 4-on-3 game.
No. 4 Pittsburgh 74, Belmont 60: Sam Young scored 33 points despite not getting his first basket until more than 11 minutes into the game and Pittsburgh's tight defense shut down visiting Belmont's outside shooting last night.
No. 8 Notre Dame 81, No. 6 Texas 80: Luke Harangody had 29 points and 13 rebounds and Notre Dame hung on to beat Texas last night in the semifinals of the EA Sports Maui Invitational.
No. 15 Marquette 85, Texas Southern 68: Jerel McNeal scored 20 points and Lazar Haywood added 18 to lead Marquette over visiting Texas Southern last night.
No. 17 Florida 86, Washington 84: Nick Calathes scored 15 of his 21 points in the second half and Florida held off a late rally to beat Washington last night in the consolation game of the CBE Classic in Kansas City, Mo.
No. 20 Villanova 71, Monmouth 48: Dante Cunningham scored 19 points, Corey Stokes added 18 and Villanova extended its winning streak to four games with a victory over visiting Monmouth last night.

The Citadel 84, Charleston Southern 80: Cameron Wells scored 26 points and grabbed 11 rebounds as visiting The Citadel defeated Charleston Southern last night.
Wells scored 22 points in the first half to spark a 36-30 lead at halftime.
The Citadel (3-2) hit 52.8 percent (28 of 43)of its field goals, including 7 of 11 by Wells.
Wofford 74, UNC Asheville 69: Junior Salters scored 20 points to lift Wofford over visiting UNC Asheville last night.
Wofford (3-2) led by seven points with 40 seconds remaining in the game, but UNC Asheville (3-2) cut the lead to two points.
Clutch free throws by Noah Dahlman and Brad Loseing in the final 28 seconds of the game sealed the victory for the Terriers.
South Florida 59, High Point 46: Aris Williams scored all of his 11 points in the second half, helping South Florida rally for a victory over visiting High Point last night.
Williams triggered a 17-4 run for South Florida (2-1) in the second half with eight quick points, including two dunks. Chris Howard and Jesus Verdejo paced the Bulls with 14 and 12 points, respectively.
Eugene Harris led all scorers with 17 points, including 11 in a row for High Point (1-3).
South Carolina 85, Gardner-Webb 70: Devan Downey scored a season-high 25 points to lead South Carolina to a victory over visiting Gardner-Webb last night.
The Gamecocks (4-0) had three players in double figures as Downey scored 20 of his points in the second half.
Gardner-Webb (0-4) had lost its three previous games by a combined eight points, including an 80-76 setback at Oklahoma on Saturday.
East Carolina 93, Virginia Commonwealth 90 (OT): Darrius Morrow hit a free throw to give East Carolina the deciding lead in overtime, and Brock Young hit two more with 10 seconds remaining to help seal the win over visiting Virginia Commonwealth last night.
The Pirates (4-1) outscored the Rams (2-2) 11-8 in overtime.
James Legan led the Pirates with 20 points, Sam Hinnant added 18 and Young chipped in 17 and dished out 11 assists.
Texas A&M 84, UNC Wilmington 65: Chinemelu Elonu scored 18 points and had 11 rebounds to help lead Texas A&M over UNC Wilmington last night in the second round of the South Padre Invitational.
The Aggies (4-0) held the Seahawks (2-3) 27 points below their season scoring average of 92 points per game in the teams' first-ever meeting.
Chad Tomko scored a game-high 21 points for UNC Wilmington.
