Targacept Inc. said yesterday that its scientists presented several research developments at the 38th annual meeting of the Society for Neuroscience in Washington.
The presentations wrote or co-wrote by Targacept scientists describe pre-clinical research findings in a variety of areas, including Alzheimer's disease, schizophrenia, adults with attention deficit/hyperactivity disorder, attention, learning and memory, and smoking-cessation therapies.
The company also presented a paper on treating depression and anxiety disorders that was published in the winter 2008 edition of the peer-reviewed journal CNS Neuroscience & Therapeutics.
