Q. What is that handsome Josh Brolin doing these days? -- J.O.
A. Brolin will be seen next in Milk, opposite Sean Penn. He will play Dan White, who assassinated San Francisco supervisor Harvey Milk (Penn), the city's first openly gay elected official. Based on a true story, the film will be in theaters next month.
Q. What is Alyssa Milano doing now? Wasn't she supposed to have a new TV show? -- H.F.
A. She was. She's been in production with a comedy for ABC called Single With Parents, about a too-busy single woman, but the network recently the plug on it after creative differences with producers. It was intended as a midseason replacement, but its future is now in doubt.
Q. I'm a huge fan of Bruce Springsteen. Is he going to do any new albums soon? -- H.W.
A. He is. He should have a new album with the E Street Band out in January; possibly including some tracks that didn't make it onto his last hit album, Magic, released last year.
Q. Is it true that they're doing another Sex and the City movie and also a movie of The Sopranos? -- L.J.
A. A sequel to last spring's Sex and the City movie is, apparently, a go, but contracts haven't been finalized, so anything could still happen. Assuming all the principals sign on, the producers would start developing the script. With The Sopranos, however, creator David Chase has no plans at the moment to do one ... and he should know.
Q. When is Jimmy Fallon going to take over for Conan O'Brien? -- J.T.
A. The NBC transition is scheduled to take place next June, with Fallon stepping into O'Brien's show and O'Brien taking over The Tonight Show from Jay Leno.
