Two Republican challengers and an incumbent, win seats on the Davie County Board of Commissioners

MOCKSVILLE - Two newcomers and one incumbent, all Republicans, won the race for three seats on the Davie County Board of Commissioners.
Mark Jones, a former school board member, won 13,705 votes, and incumbent Richard Poindexter, who has been on the board since 1996, won 13,068 votes, according to complete but unofficial results. Ken White won 12,715 votes. Trailing behind was the lone Democrat, Jeff Adamonis, who received 6,490 votes.
Republican M. Brent Shoaf won for Register of Deeds. He ran unopposed and received 15,990 votes. Also running unopposed was I.H. (Cokie) Jones for Soil and Water Conservation District Supervisor. Jones received 13,907 votes.
