Hillary Moore scored two goals and Michelle Kasold had a goal and an assist to lead Wake Forest past Dartmouth 5-1 in a field-hockey match yesterday.
The Deacons (17-2) attempted 33 shots, 23 on net.
Crystal Duffield made six saves in picking up her 16th win of the season. Kasold scored at the 18:18 mark to give the Deacons a 1-0 lead.
Eight minutes later Moore scored her first goal for a 2-0 lead
Six minutes before halftime, Liz Fries scored on a penalty corner to make the score 3-0.
Wake Forest had 13 penalty corners to four for Dartmouth.
Moore scored her second goal seven minutes into the second half.
The Deacons made the score 5-0 on a long shot by Melissa Martin, which was redirected by Faith Adams.
Chelsea Dodds scored the only goal for the Big Green (6-10) with 8:14 left in the match.
